Located in an elevated position The Lakehouse has magnificent lake and mountain views. Guests absolutely love this convenient location, just a scenic stroll across the road and then turn right along the lake path to the children's playground, swimming beach, boat launches and jetties at Stoney Point Reserve. Beautifully designed with a stylish and sophisticated interior, The Lakehouse is finished to a very high standard with thoughtful extras to ensure you have the best holiday. The house sleeps up to 8 guests. There are 3 bedrooms (king and 2 queens), one downstairs and 2 up in the main house and then another bedroom with queen bed that adjoins the garage (be prepared though, the bathrooms are in the main house so a trip across the car park when needed is required). All the bedrooms enjoy lovely views with the two on the upper level have their own large balconies. There is a spa at the front of the property with outdoor seating area and huge parasol. At the back of the property is another outdoor entertaining area with an outdoor pool table, seating area with another giant parasol, plus an outdoor fireplace with more seating. The rear has views across open paddocks with a backdrop of native ponga forest. The spacious open plan living area with great indoor/outdoor flow both front and rear has a dining area with seating for 8 guests, fully equipped entertainers' kitchen, huge lounge suite and a cosy wood burning fireplace. There is even a well-equipped gym downstairs. Also 2 kayaks available for guest to explore the lake with. Set well back from the road providing privacy, peace and tranquility. Plenty of parking space and room for a boat if you’re bringing one. Close to the boat launches at Stoney Point and Boat Shed Bay. Bookings of 7 nights or more will receive a complimentary mid-stay service clean. Tarawera has a water taxi service that can offer trips across the lake to the Tarawera Falls Walks and natural hot pools. They also provide a drop off and pick up service for the Tarawera trail.
